It all began with an idea...
Since the Affordable Care Act came into effect in 2014, the one part of the population who's suffered the most with high premiums and declining coverage has been the small business owner. The legislation that was meant to make healthcare affordable for all, has done the exact opposite: up to 40% premium increases year over year, rising deductibles and high maximum out of pocket amounts. Managed care in the form of HMO's and the requirement that seeing specialists requires referrals from primary doctors.
The inefficiencies and fragmentation that have overtaken the US Healthcare system have created an opportunity with the creation of private group coverage options and fixed benefit insurance plans, both at a fraction of the cost of marketplace and COBRA plans.
In 2019 (then Puresurance), we put together our first offering and tested it with a major national franchise organization. Since then, our offering has greatly evolved as has the number of franchise owners across a multitude of brands in just about every vertical.
